Campbell's Address Your Heart Recipes and Coupons

Trying to keep my family healthy is definitely at the top of my list.  Cooking heart healthy meals is one of the ways I can insure they are receiving the nutrients they need to stay healthy.  At the beginning of the week I make a meal plan on what I will be making for dinner each night.  I try to incorporate a meat, two veggies, bread and a fruit with each meal so that my family is getting a well balanced diet.  I also chop up fresh fruits and vegetables and put them in separate containers/trays at the beginning of the week.  I have one tray just for veggies and the other just for fruits.  

My daughter enjoys helping me make the trays and she enjoys eating the fruits and veggies as we make them too.  I also make homemade dips as well because who doesn't love a good dip?  I am so glad I started doing this because if my family wants a snack then they always have a healthy option available quick and easy.  Sometimes I make a meat, cheese and cracker tray which is a favorite in my home.  I also keep quick and healthy lunch options on hand such as vegetable, tomato, chicken noodle soup and canned chicken or tuna which I use to make chicken salad or tuna pasta salad.

I think it is very important for me to teach my daughter early on that eating food that is good for you will help keep you healthy.  I also make sure that my daughter gets outside and plays for at least 30 minutes a day so that she is getting exercise which is another important way to stay healthy.  She will be starting school this year so I know she will be getting plenty of exercise then but for now we have our own daily play routine.
