My daughter is such a shoe fanatic. She loves any type of shoes and she has so much fun trying them on. When we go shoe shopping it turns into an all day event because she thinks she has to try on every single pair of shoes, even the ones that aren't her size. When I was given the opportunity to review a pair of shoes from Yochi Yochi for my daughter I knew she was going to be so excited. I usually let my daughter choose which items she likes when we have a choice for our review items but I decided to choose this time to make it a surprise.
When the package arrived the shoes were in a drawstring bag with the Yochi Yochi logo on the outside which I thought was really cute. I gave the bag to my daughter and when she opened it she started jumping up and down, giggling at the same time. I chose the Princess Sakura design. It has a panda bear on the toe and heel of the shoe with pink fabric in the middle. She wasted no time putting the shoes on. They were very easy for her to put on with the Velcro straps. When she got them on and took her first step the shoes squeaked. The look on her face was priceless and she immediately started dancing. It was so funny, she danced for a least 15 minutes straight and was laughing the whole time.
The Yochi Yochi shoes are the latest trend from Japan and have been introduced to America. The shoes are made with a small squeaking diaphragm in the heel of each shoe which causes a small squeak when your child takes a step. The squeak also serves as a safety feature, your child definitely would have a hard time getting away from you without you knowing. Also they say that many doctors have suggested that when children can audibly recognize their footsteps, the sounds can reinforce the natural rhythm of walking and actually help train them to walk. Which makes these shoes perfect for children first learning to walk as well.
I think they are really cute and are soft inside to keep your child's feet feeling comfortable. They are made from a high quality nylon with durable rubber soles. You can see the other styles and items they have to offer and buy your own by visiting their website at yochishoes.com.
