RideTight is an adaptive seatbelt positioner. There are two different versions available. The RideTight Jr. which is made to use with booster seats and the RideTight which is made for children 8 and older that no longer need a booster seat as well as smaller adults. They are designed to provide a safer, more comfortable ride by making seatbelts fit more securely. The green one (RideTight) also helps keep the seatbelt off your or your child's neck too. Did you know that kids 8 and older are injured up to 5x more often in a crash due to poor-fitting seatbelts?
I was sent both versions to try out. My daughter and I both are small framed and from what I had read on their website I felt like this was a product that we both could really benefit from. I have the problem with the seatbelt always rubbing my neck which is so uncomfortable. I have tried using strap cushions but they still rub against my neck. Installing the RideTight and RideTight Jr. was very simple. I installed my daughter's first. There are four steps to installing this product to your seatbelt.
Step 1: To install the RideTight Jr. have your child sit back in the center of the booster seat and buckle up. Next loosen both knobs on the product by turning them counter-clockwise until the right side of the red clamp plate can pivot up. Place the shoulder belt webbing so it is flat against the gray belt guide and centered between the two knobs.
Step 2: Pivot the red clamp plate back down over the shoulder belt webbing and tighten both knobs clockwise so that your RideTight Jr. fits securely but can still slide up and down on the shoulder belt.
Step 3: Slide the RideTight Jr. down until it fully contacts the T-shaped chrome latch plate. While holding the product here, pull up firmly on the shoulder belt to tighten the lap belt until you can fit only two fingers between the lap belt and hip bones. Continue pulling up on the shoulder belt and fully tighten both knobs. The tighter the lap belt the better, as long as your child is not too uncomfortable and can still buckle and unbuckle with no trouble.
Step 4: The RideTight Jr. now stays securely on the shoulder belt to help position your child's lap belt low and tight any time they are buckled up. Just buckle and release the same way you have always done before. You only have to fit it once (until your child grows more).
At first the seatbelt may fill a little different to your child since it does fit more securely but they will get used to it. It actually didn't bother my daughter because she just recently transitioned from her car seat to the booster seat so she was still used to being strapped in tighter. This is one of those products I feel like every parent should have. My daughter likes to take naps in the car and being in the booster seat now I have been worried about the position she ended up in while sleeping. I usually would wake her up because I was worried that we could get in a wreck and she could get hurt really bad in the position she was in. I really like the RideTight Jr. and I feel like my child is much more secure while using it. I now no longer worry too much about her taking naps.

The RideTight is easy to install too. It also works really well at keeping the seatbelt off my neck. I felt like it provided a more secure fit which would be perfect for children who tend to slouch while riding in the car. It helps to keep the seatbelt low and tight over the hipbones providing a much safer riding experience. Installation is basically the same as the RideTight Jr. with only a few differences since the RideTight has two belt tabs to help position the shoulder belt off your neck.
