I recently had the chance to review the 20 Mule Team Borax. I really like it and I think it does a great job at getting my clothes cleaner than with just detergent alone. It also helps to remove stains too. My daughter had a stain on her favorite night shirt that I couldn't seem to get out and the Borax took the stain right out. My daughter was so happy. Below is a before and after picture.
What is Borax?
*Detergent Booster & Multi-Purpose Household Cleaner*
It is a 100% natural mineral from the earth. Once removed from the ground it is washed, dried and boxed for consumers. Borax is the common name for sodium tetraborate, a naturally occurring substance produced by the perpetual evaporation of seasonal lakes. Absolutely nothing is added to this product. No phosphates, chlorine, or other additive chemicals. It is great for increasing your detergent's cleaning power and controlling odors to give you fresh, clean laundry.
Did you know that over 85% of homes have hard water (water that contains calcium and magnesium)? I know we do. Hard water can affect your laundry. When you add your detergent to hard water some of the compounds attach to the calcium and magnesium granules that settle on the bottom of your washing machine. Eventually just going down the drain without actually cleaning your clothes. 20 Mule Team Borax naturally softens hard water, which protects your detergent and maximizes the cleaning power.
Borax has a variety of other uses as well. You can even use it to remove stains from carpets or rugs. Clean and deodorize your bathroom and kitchen, plus use it in your dishwasher to boost the cleaning power of your dishwashing detergent and more.
