Our Pigeon Forge Vacation

We had such a great time on our vacation to Pigeon Forge.  We went to Dollywood, of course, and it was decorated so beautifully for fall.  My daughter really enjoyed the rides this year now that she is a little older. One of her favorites was the Flying Elephant ride.

I really liked the butterfly, it was made out of pumpkins.

We also took Emily, (my daughter) to play putt-putt for the first time. She was so excited and she did really well.  She even helped her daddy out too.  Next we went to the Rainforest Adventures and we saw some exotic animals as well as we got to feed some goats and sheep.

On our last day we went to a few arcades during the day time then that night we went to a show called,Cirque de Chine .  This show featured some great Chinese acrobats. They did many different stunts and they were so graceful in everything that they did.  We really enjoyed it but my daughter fell asleep during the end because it was past her bedtime.

I can't wait to go back next year to Pigeon Forge. There is just so much to see and do.

Howard B. Wigglebottom book Review/Giveaway

I was recently selected to review a book from the We Do Listen Foundation. The We Do Listen Foundation is a non profit corporation that helps young children learn important life lessons through the power of reading, songs and games. You can download free animated books, songs, games, activities, and more at http://www.wedolisten.org/.  If you prefer you can also purchase the books in hardcover.

The book I chose to review was Howard B. Wigglebottom and the Power of Giving: A Christmas Story. I thought this would be a great book to choose with the holidays coming up. The first thing I must say about this book is that my daughter really liked this book. She wanted me to keep reading it to her over and over again. The colors and the illustrations used really seemed to catch her eye, as well as mine.

The book is about a rabbit, "Howard B. Wigglebottom". He takes for granted all the important things he has and always seems to want more. Then one day something happens and it makes him realize what is most important in life. I don't want to give to much away about the book so that you can read it for yourself. This is such a cute book that will teach your child a wonder lesson. At the end of the book it has a lessons and reflections section that you can go over with your child.

One lucky reader is going to win their own autographed copy of one of the Howard B. Wigglebottom hardcover books of their choice.

Vegas Vacation

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't posted lately. I have been on vacation in Las Vegas the past week and just returned last night. This was my first vacation without my daughter and I missed her so much but it was nice to get away for a while.

I stayed at the Paris hotel and it was so beautiful. I also got to go up in the Effiel Tower, the view was amazing. I did do a lot of walking though because the hotels are so large and I wanted to go inside of most all of them. They were all so wonderfully built.

What I though was neat was that some of the hotels were connected so I would be walking through one hotel and then I would end up in a different oneThe bad thing was that it was easy to get lost that way too.

There is just so much to see and do in Las Vegas. You really want to try and plan out what you really would like to do the most and do that first, if you ever plan to visit. It is easy to lose track of time, I know I did, so I didn't get to do some of the things I had planned on. I still had a great time but I would have to say that I don't think it is a place to bring your children to. That is just my opinion.

I am going to catch up on my postings this week and thank you to all my new followers. I hope everyone has a great week.
